I was vanity-googling my name (amazingly difficult, given the plethora of actually famous Carlos Morales' out there), and guess what I found?
A patent I filed many years ago (Key-based collision detection algorithm for multi-initiator domain validation - US Patent 7072988) actually came through (I had no hopes for it, given how obvious I thought the algorithm was... but I guess in a world where you can patent sandwhiches...
BTW, I have another one, way back from my IBM days: Disk drive initiated data transfers responsive to sequential or near sequential read or write requests. Oh yeah, that rolls right off the tongue, doesn't it?
